IMPORTANT CHANGES - NEW APPOINTMENT SYSTEM FROM TUESDAY 10TH SEPTEMBER
The way you book appointments with us is changing.
What has changed?
From Tuesday 10th September 2024 we will booking a majority of our appointments via an NHS approved triage system, Rapid Health. We are using this method to ensure patients get the right care, efficiently.
How do you book an appointment?
The new way of booking an appointment is currrently only available for patients aged 16 and over. Patients under 16 will book the same way as before, via the Reception team.
We understand that not everyone will be comfortable or unable to do this online. Reception will still be here to help and take you through a short medical questionnaire which will offer you an appointment with the most appropriate clinician.
Why have we done this?
With the growing demand in the NHS, we are constantly looking at ways we can improve our service to patients and maximise availability within the system. To acheive this we are using Rapid Health, an NHS approved triage tool to ensure patients are seeing the right clinician in the appropriate time frame and are getting the best possible care.
Why do I have to book appointments like this?
We are asking all patients to answer some triage questions online or via our Reception team. This allows us to offer you the most appropriate appointment. This also gives the clinician relevant information prior to your appointment and enables them to have more time to provide quality care to you.
For patients who can, getting an appointment through Rapid health online is the fastest way. It will also reduce the telephone queue allowing reception to help those without access online.
